About Us

The Sunset Park Alliance for Youth reconnects disconnected youth, ages 16-24, back to the classroom and back to work. Through its work with six partner agencies—Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, Brooklyn Workforce Innovations-Fifth Avenue Committee, Lutheran Family Health Centers, Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT), Southwest Brooklyn Industrial Development Corporation (SBIDC), and Turning Point—the Alliance collaborates to ensure that there is no ‘wrong door’ to services. That is, when a young person walks in our door we find the right program to suit him/her. We have also identified a higher education partner, Kingsborough Community College (CUNY) which has agreed to partner with the Alliance. The Alliance also collaborates with other CUNY colleges.
