Higher Ed

The Sunset Park Alliance aims to support its clients as they work toward joining the post-secondary classroom. We hope to find the right college and/or job skills training program for each client. We work with Kingsborough Community College (KCC) to provide opportunities for higher education for its clients. KCC offers hundreds of programs as well as young adult training programs such as Project Welcome, where students obtain hospitality management skills or the Young Adult Employment Program  where they learn restaurant management skills. In both programs participants can earn up to 12 CUNY credits for free.

The Alliance also works with the Borough of Manhattan Community College, NYC College of Technology, Kingsborough Community College, and Bronx Community College. The staff works hard to ensure that each client finds the right program to suit his/her needs.
